CanCare Happy Walking Group – Cantonese & Mandarin (Require enrolment with coordinator)

It is well known that exercise has many general benefits for physical and mental well being. Recent researches suggest that exercise benefits most people both during and after cancer treatments, including easing off some common side effects of treatments, improving treatment outcomes, speeding up return to usual activities and maintaining quality of life.

Objectives of CanCare Walking Group: 1. to engage cancer patients in regular, beneficial and highly sought after exercise options; and
2. to provide a safe environment for cancer patients to do exercise in a group which creates the added benefit of social interaction and support.

What we do:

Walking short, easy and accessible routes in a group. There will be a few breaks for group members to rest, exercise and interact with each other.

Professional instructor and CanCare volunteers will be there for each of the session.

Date & time: Twice monthly on the 1st & 3rd Friday of each month between 9:00am and 12:00pm.

Place: Assembly point varies according to route/destination, often at a train station.

Language: Cantonese and Mandarin.

Note: please bring your own snacks and drinks and transportation costs.
